Running Clothing Swap Georgia has been one of the most meaningful things I’ve ever done. I truly believe in this mission — creating access to clothing, reducing waste, and building a stronger, more supportive community. But behind the scenes, the financial reality of running a nonprofit is hitting harder than I expected.

I am not paid to host these events. Every swap is organized on my personal time, funded with my personal resources, and managed alongside a full-time 9–5 job that already barely covers my household bills. Right now, my family is feeling the strain. The CPA expenses, tax filings, and annual government fees required to keep the organization compliant are costs I simply can’t carry alone anymore.

I want to continue this work. I want to keep showing up for our community. But I cannot afford to do it without help.

This fundraiser is specifically to cover required nonprofit operating expenses — accounting, taxes, and government fees — so Clothing Swap Georgia can stay active and legally protected. Your support doesn’t pay a salary. It keeps the doors open, the mission alive, and relieves the financial pressure that has fallen entirely on my family.

If this project has helped you, inspired you, or aligns with your values, please consider contributing. Even small donations make a real difference. Community care is what built this organization, and it’s what will sustain it.

Thank you for believing in this work and in me.
