2025 CAMDEN KWANZAA CELEBRATION
Celebrating Culture. Honoring Heritage. Holding Community.
On December 26, families across Camden will gather to celebrate Kwanzaa—not just as a holiday, but as a living reminder of who we are and what we owe one another.
The image you see here tells a familiar Camden story:
generations together, children centered, culture embraced, and joy shared.
It reflects the heart of our community, elders passing wisdom, parents building legacy, and children learning that they belong.
This year, Camden Parent & Student Union (CPSU) is hosting a Community Kwanzaa Celebration focused on:
-
🕯️ A meaningful candle lighting ceremony
-
🎨 A joyful and educational Children’s Kwanzaa experience
-
🤝 A community gathering rooted in unity, purpose, and collective care
But this celebration does not happen on its own.
💛 Why We’re Asking for Your Support
Your donation helps us:
-
Provide free or low-cost access for families and children
-
Cover program supplies, cultural educators, and children’s activities
-
Ensure elders, parents, and youth can celebrate together in a safe, welcoming space
-
Keep Kwanzaa accessible as a community tradition.
For many Camden families, this may be their only Kwanzaa celebration of the season.
✨ Giving Is a Kwanzaa Value
Kwanzaa teaches us Ujima (collective work and responsibility) and Ujamaa (cooperative economics) that we rise when we give together.
Every contribution is an act of unity.
🕯️ Help Us Light the Candles
Your donation ensures that when the candles are lit on December 26, they represent more than tradition—they represent community love, shared responsibility, and hope for our children’s future.
