Emergency Winter Warming Center
EVERYONE deserves a safe and warm place to rest.
Trinidad, Colorado does not have a homeless shelter- the nearest shelter is 85 miles away. To meet the need, the Coalition for the Unhoused is raising funds to operate an overnight warming center to serve people experiencing homelessness in our community. The warming center is operated by volunteers and is 100% donation-funded.
Your donations provide for the immediate needs of people experiencing homelessness, including:
- A safe place to be for the night
- Warm and clean clothing such as socks, hats and hoodies
- A hot homemade meal
- A load of laundry
Our winter warming center serves as a hub for building community and connecting Trinidad's unhoused individuals with services such as:
- Mobile medical care
- Government benefits
- Connection with peer support
- Access to recovery and treatment services
- Housing readiness
Don't worry, the Coalition is working hard to secure long-term and sustainable solutions for the most vulnerable members of our community, but keeping people warm and alive is something we can all do TODAY. Join us!
