At Color My Outdoors, we’re rewriting the outdoor narrative to center and celebrate the experiences of Black and Brown communities. For too long, mainstream stories have excluded People of Color from the outdoors, reinforcing harmful stereotypes and erasing their contributions.

Our work confronts these outdated narratives head-on, uplifting the voices, achievements, and cultural legacies of Black and Brown people in outdoor spaces. Through storytelling, skill-building, and workforce development, and networking, we’re creating a future where People of Color feel seen, celebrated, and deeply connected to nature.
