The Colorado New Play Festival is a new play development organization based in Steamboat Springs that, for 27 years, has partnered with theatre companies from across the country for a supported week-long workshop of a new play in progress. Every June, CNPF gathers playwrights, actors, directors, dramaturgs, and other theatre artists in the beautiful Colorado Rockies to develop new work with the goal of production. Over 70 percent of the plays developed at the Festival have since been produced by theatre companies across the country, from regional theatres to Broadway. More info at cnpfsteamboat.org.
