Project Color Corps Mission:
Project Color Corps’ mission is to use the power of color as a change agent to create equity, belonging and well-being into under-resourced neighborhoods nationwide.
Project Color Corps (PCC) Overview:
PCC is a volunteer nonprofit founded in 2011 based on the premise that color is transformational and that our surroundings impact how we feel. When we look at places where children learn, families connect, and people thrive, we find that too many neighborhoods have buildings that are not welcoming. PCC transforms these buildings into places where people want to be, where everyone feels like they belong, where a community can celebrate everyday life. PCC then employs professional artists and designers to work with volunteers, and the school community, to actualize the project. PCC provides the community a sense of purpose, ownership, and pride. PCC has seen that when we interact directly with students and teachers, gain their insight and trust, working together we make places that reflect their colorful communities, uplift their ability to learn and their sense of agency and belonging.
Our work is powered by community members and volunteers. Every bit of help is needed and appreciated. Make a donation, volunteer your time, your skills, or your equipment and help us bring our projects to life.
