Story
After almost two years of the RHS stage going dark, audiences will return to their seats, lights will rise, and students will take the stage! Mr. Stuart and Ms. Greve have ambitious plans to bring our students back on stage and fill the auditorium with joy and laughter, tears and community. But, with continuing COVID-19 restrictions, our students and theatre teachers need our help more than ever to make these inspired plans viable.
All after-school theatre in Roosevelt High School is funded by parents, students, community members and AFORD, the RHS Theatre Boosters. AFORD (The Associated Friends of Roosevelt Drama) raises funds to support the RHS Theatre programs and provide financial resources and opportunities for all students to fully participate in the program.
AFORD supports RHS Theatre in bringing in the best professionals who share their expertise from lighting and set design to choreography and musical direction.
AFORD helps pay for all the important components that make our productions so professional.
AFORD ensures production cast and crews as well as audience members enjoy the best theatre experience possible.
AFORD funds opportunities for students to learn from a broad range of professionals, like one-on-one vocal and/or dance coaching, acting seminars, as well as students' participation in the Washington State and International Thespian festivals.
