HIV Response Fund
COMMON HOLD is UNSPUN’s material response infrastructure.
When policy is used to strip medication, coverage, or care, we move resources in the opposite direction.
This fund routes money directly to community partners providing:
rapid-response medication access
mutual aid for coverage disruptions
support for people living with HIV facing treatment loss
protection and care networks serving LGBTQ+ communities under policy pressure
Policy is not neutral paperwork.
It is a delivery system for abandonment.
Right now, major changes to Florida’s AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP) are projected to push more than 16,000 people toward coverage loss or treatment interruption. Similar restrictions and funding pressures are emerging in other states.
COMMON HOLD exists to stabilize what policy destabilizes.
Our operating principles
Transparency — Cost breakdowns, total funds raised, transfer dates, and recipient organizations will be publicly reported.
Accountability — Updates will be shared as funds are transferred and confirmed. If institutions issue annual reports, so can we.
Refusal — We do not accept abandonment as policy.
The initial goal of $17,000 represents a stabilization threshold for emergency medication access and rapid-response support. If the goal is exceeded, additional funds will be routed to expanded mutual-aid and response networks as needs grow.
This is not symbolic giving. This is resource movement.
While policy debates timelines, people still need medication, coverage, and care to stay alive. Your contribution helps keep treatment uninterrupted and communities supported.
Policy kills.
We refuse to.
