As a co-founder of Save Wildlife Uganda, I am raising funds for the completion of our Community Centre, which includes plumbing for the visitor washrooms and flooring. Having been born and raised in the Nyanga community, which borders the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, I feel passionate about preserving Uganda's natural heritage. Over the past months, I've been working directly with the community to sensitize them to understand they can co-exist alongside wildlife and benefit economically by protecting it. The Centre will also serve as home base for our 'Women for Conservation Uganda' team so they create handmade crafts to sell, which will enable them to provide for their families.
