Since 2013, the Rapid Resource Fund, now called the Community Catalyst Cooperative, has provided more than $940,000 to organizations in the Road Map Project region who are working on catalyzing system-level change. The fund has supported work such as the development of accessible pathways for bilingual educators, research on social and emotional learning, a youth-produced video on the school-to-prison pipeline crisis, and more.

2013 - The Rapid Resource Fund is created and supported by the Road Map Project Aligned Funders Group, a group of regionally based funders investing in the education success of children, young adults and families in South King County and South Seattle.

2019 - Community Center for Education Results (CCER) begins staffing the Rapid Resource Fund, including engaging with prospective applicants, communicating with grantees, and facilitating the discussion of applications.

The Road Map Project Community Leadership Team (CLT) creates the Changemakers grant to provide resources to grassroots organizations in the Road Map Project.

The CLT join members of the Aligned Funders Group to inform Fund guidelines, make decisions of RRF applications, and shape the Fund’s future.

2022 - The Rapid Resource Fund team of community leaders and funders team up with Collective Change Lab to research the relational work of transforming power dynamics in the Rapid Resource Fund

2024 - The Community Catalyst Cooperative is created to reflect the centering of community in our grantmaking through an anti-racist lens. The purpose of this Fund and Collective is to fund initiatives that catalyze educational success and justice through strategies stemmed in community and grassroots organizing.
