Rowing for all: Support Community Rowing of San Diego on this National Giving Day

Community Rowing of San Diego – National Giving Day Campaign

Community Rowing of San Diego (CRSD), founded in 2012, is a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit committed to equitable access to the sport of rowing for the youth and families of National City and the South Bay. Our mission is to remove barriers and ensure that every person—regardless of background or income—has the opportunity to experience the confidence, community, and lifelong benefits of rowing.

Thanks to the incredible support of our community, CRSD has continued to grow significantly over the past year. As our programs expand, so does the need for reliable equipment, safe training environments, and accessible opportunities. This National Giving Day, we’re asking for your support to help keep our growth strong and our programs thriving.

Our Programs

Your donation supports a full range of athletes—from beginners to competitive rowers—and helps us serve diverse groups throughout San Diego’s South Bay:

  • Junior Competitive Team – Training young athletes in teamwork, leadership, fitness, and racing.

  • Masters Rowing – Providing adults of all ages the opportunity to develop skills, stay active, and build community.

  • Freedom Rows (Veterans & Active Duty) – A free program promoting physical and mental wellness through rowing.

  • Sea Dragon Cancer Survivors Crew – Empowering cancer survivors with a supportive and healing on-water community.

  • After-School Youth Programs – Introducing local students to rowing through safe, structured, affordable programming.

  • Community Learn-to-Row Sessions – Opening doors for anyone interested in trying the sport for the first time.
