It all started with Cindy. Growing up with a father who ministered to missionaries, Cindy thought missionary kids were incredible. This impression developed into a love and compassion for missionaries and their kids. After receiving her license as a mental health counselor, Cindy began counseling and debriefing missionaries. Over the years, she single-handedly cared for families around the world, giving hospitality when they arrived in the Tampa Bay area or flying to South America to help a family struggling with their child. Soon those who were getting help from her joined her, helping their fellow missionaries heal and become healthy. Compass Ministries is a grassroots organization comprised of mental health counselors, pastoral counselors, mental health coaches, and former missionaries helping Christian Global Workers stay healthy on and off the field.
