As we confront a dynamic shift in transportation priorities, particularly impacting young road users, we are driven by an urgent need to orchestrate a new youth transportation experience.

We want young people to experience transportation not as a burden, but as a source of freedom and opportunity. Not only in their journey, but in their imagination. Transforming the traditional experiences as survivors and victims to the design, innovators, entreprenuers and leaders, shaping a safer, sustainable and innovative mobility future.

But how can we achieve this transformation? How can we move beyond outdated frameworks and address the complex challenges of today's evolving youth transportation landscape. Where can young people actively design solutions and influence decisions that directly affect their well-being and communities - moving beyond youth voices as the outcomes, to youth innovators as the input?

At Composing Youth Mobility, lived experiences, ideas and action converge.

We are building a youth-led, culturally-rooted movement where young people are the architects of change. We equips transportation-related youth survivors to address real-world transportation challenges. In doing so, we foster multi-sector collaboration and dialogue contributing to a National Youth Transportation Srategy and Implementation Framework unveiled at the 2026 National Composing Youth Mobility Summit.

So far, we’ve laid the foundation in:

Sunsetting National Organizations for Youth Safety (NOYS), honoring a successful 25 years and building a social enterprise to meet the next generations transportation challenges and vision.
Collaborating with leading industry experts to design Industry Forums, bringing together leaders to collaboratively orchestrate the future of youth transportation experiences across sector, driven by youth experiences, and cultural transformation.
Designing community-centered music and transportation education events.

In order to expand our impact and cultivate the next generation of social entrepreneurs, innovators, and designers of transportation safety, we need to complete the final phase of our program development and reach more youth.

Right now, we need your donations. With your help, we hope to accelerate the development of a national framework for youth mobility and drive transformative outcomes. If we don't make it through this phase, our one-of-a-kind youth-powered initiative will fade away and innovation, lived experiences and expertise of the next generation of young people will be at stake!

$5k for Denver youth artist and cultural performers to cultivate community-centered transportation education events
$25k to construct practioner-driven tools leveraging the national strategy and implementation framework from virtual industry forums

Composing Youth Mobility was established as a result of the National Youth Transportation Equity Convening (NYTEC), hosted over two years by the National Organizations for Youth Safety (NOYS). The convening was nationally recognized as the largest youth powered gathering focused on transportation equity in the U.S., creating space for young leaders, sector experts, and community members, to explore youth driven solutions for creating a safe and sustainable transportation future.

Now operating independently, Composing Youth Mobility is cultivating the next generation of social entrepreneurs, innovators, and designers of transportation safety, grounded in the belief that young people are not only the future of mobility – they are the leaders of its transformation.
