Because the legal system wasn’t built for working families, survivors, or community caretakers. It was built to uphold the myth of access—while quietly punishing those who fall outside its tightest definitions of “deserving.”

Legal aid is overwhelmed. Middle-class families are excluded by income cutoffs. And even basic filings can cost hundreds—before a single hearing begins.

The Raven Fund exists to conspire against this. We’re here to shift the weight. To name the unkindness. And to build a better way forward, together.
