Conversational Agent as a Learning Companion Integration and Fees

Raising funds for:

• AI tutor (called CALC) Integration

• AI model API fees

In many studies, AI-driven chatbot tutors have demonstrated success in supporting the success of all students (but especially second language learners and students with learning disabilities) by giving each child the extra individual support they require to be successful, such as real-time feedback and first language support.

For this initiative, BRBYTES has partnered with Einbrain Labs, who have trained a conversational agent as a learning companion (CALC) which is specially trained to scaffold student's self regulated learning skills, ensuring that students do not overly rely on the AI, but rather build their own learning skills with carefully measured support. Once the CALC is incorporated into the BRBYTES portal, it will be able to answer students' questions about their work, check the students' answers before submission, and will be fitted with classroom security measures such as being restricted on what topics it is allowed to discuss, disabling it from going off topic like a more general-purpose AI might.

BRBYTES is seeking funds to integrate the CALC and keep up with regular API fees for this tool that can help make success in computer science more feasible for all students, as well as decrease teacher workload and overwhelm. Please consider donating today.
