2024 marks the 50th anniversary of the Little League Softball World Series and 30 years of Corvallis Little League. Our softball program is growing leaps and bounds and while it is an exciting time for girls in sports, funding for female sports continues to be a challenge. Your support will help keep the momentum going and ensure we provide the best softball experience for our players. Our program costs are barely covered by registration fees and our wonderful sponsors. This leaves little left to cover other expenses and invest for the future.

Your donation ensures we have access to the funding needed to continue to build and grow our program and the resources to ensure every player gets to participate, regardless of family situation or finances.

For 2024 over 100 volunteers and about the same number of players will work together to create the best community-led softball program in the Willamette Valley. If your child participated last year or you came to one of our games; you saw the progress at Williams Field, you felt the excitement, you smelled the popcorn. Help make softball magic!

Access to sports for young women is huge. By age 14, girls are dropping out of sports at two times the rate of boys. Unfortunately, girls drop out for many reasons. As girls grow up, the quality level of their sports experience may decline. The facilities are not as good as the boys’ venues and the playing times may not be optimal. The availability of quality, trained coaches may be lacking in their community or the coaches may be more focused on the boys’ programs that have more money for training. Equipment and even uniforms aren’t funded for many girls’ programs at the same levels as boys so their ability to grow and enjoy the sport is diminished. In short, sports just aren’t “fun” anymore.

In contrast, our local softball program has never been stronger, with nearly 90 girls participating in 2023. We fielded 4 All Star Teams in the Little League International Tournament with 3 teams advancing to state playoffs, for the second year in a row. We compete in Little League District 7 against solid opponents and enjoy travel to other communities to represent ours. In 2023, we invested nearly $10,000 in our program for field and player equipment, including top quality catching gear. With your help, we hope to match that investment this year.

Our coaches are experienced and passionate about the game and we offered a 2023 Fall Softball program as well. This year we are offering Softball Tee Ball and forming a Senior level team for All Stars to keep players as old as 16 engaged in the sport.

CLL Softball develops the player while promoting the sport. We encourage first time players and fair play by building teams of equal skill levels. We support and encourage dual-sport athletes, knowing that many players have other interests and commitments. We provide scholarships to families in need and we have built a large softball community that is truly a family. Our 2023 opening day potluck and BBQ had over 200 attendees. Games at Williams Field are packed and the concession stand is rocking. For 2024 we are blending our program and accepting Mid-Valley players from Albany and the surrounding areas to build a bigger, better softball experience.

Little League promotes a healthy balance of regular-season play among local teams and access to the world’s largest youth baseball and softball tournament for more advanced players – the Little League International Tournament (AKA All Stars). Corvallis Little League Softball offers programs and divisions of play that serve players, ages 4 to 16.

An AED (Automated External Defibrillator) for Williams Field (our home field).
Landscaping services for Williams Field - We need mowing, weed removal, and such on a weekly basis which frees our volunteers to coach more and mow less. Be the "Official" Field Maintenance Sponsor!
Laser leveling of both softball fields and Infield mix (a lot) to make our fields safer and more playable with Oregon weather.
Concession stand support in multiple ways including donations and equipment. Sponsor our concessions stand!
Dugout Screens.
