The countdown to the Paris 2024 Olympics in on! Weightlifting holds a special place in Olympic history, being one of the original nine sports at the inaugural Olympic Games in 1896. Over the past 128 years, USA Weightlifting and its athletes have faced a share of challenges. Yet, through resilience and determination, we have emerged stronger—both as a sport and as a community.
