Castoff Pet Rescue is thrilled to share that we’re finally settling into our forever home at 240 Patton Place, Blairsville, GA. This has been a long-time dream, and while the road here was filled with challenges (and a few “what now?” moments), we are so excited for what’s next.

Like any new home, we’re still ironing out the kinks and solving fresh puzzles each day. But one thing is clear: this new space means better care for our animals, more room to welcome the community, and a stronger foundation to keep saving lives.

We’re not just building a shelter. We’re building a safe haven for second chances, tail wags, and new beginnings.

🐾 We Need Your Help
Even though the walls are up and the doors are open, there’s still a lot we need. We’re a scrappy, bootstrap-it kind of team, and we rely on donations to keep things running. Your gift will help us with:

• Infrastructure items for the new shelter

• Food, medical care, and enrichment for our animals

• Emergency vetting, spay/neuter and vaccinations

• Ongoing operations and daily care

🐶 Who We Are
Castoff Pet Rescue is a nonprofit, no-kill animal rescue based in Blairsville, Georgia. We are a 501(c)(3) organization licensed by the Georgia Department of Agriculture. We proudly serve Towns and Union Counties in Georgia, Clay and Cherokee Counties in North Carolina, and anywhere animals need us.

We receive no public funding. Every dollar comes from people like you through donations, adoption fees, and fundraising events.

Founded in 2006, Castoff began as a grassroots group of volunteers fostering animals in their homes. In 2007, we took over a rundown boarding kennel and turned it into a shelter through hard work and love. Now, in 2025, we’ve taken the next step with a brand new shelter built on hope, heart, and community.

Thanks to you, we’ve already helped place thousands of dogs and cats into loving forever homes—and we’re just getting started.
