In an effort to support the impact and scale of social justice focused organizations and initiatives in the theater industry, stakeholders are coming together to participate in a shared collective.
We are a community of collaborators, joined together by our individual missions, each one whose purpose is to improve equity for all marginalized populations in the New York theater ecosystem. Each member seeks to further their individual goals with the respect and understanding that all participants are working in their own unique way towards breaking down the barriers created by white supremacy and supporting those historically excluded from equitable treatment whether through race, sexual orientation, gender, disability, nationality or socioeconomic status. Members of the collective share the commitment to the belief that BIPOC lead organizations are navigating the barriers of financial need, systemic injustice, and fatigue in addition to the struggle of equity and social justice work as a profession and pledge to devote additional resources to these community members.
The purpose of this non-hierarchical collective is to join forces to push for industry change. This mission will be carried out by the collective through improved communication, the sharing of resources, opportunities for community care and improved opportunities for education and access to gatekeepers.
100 percent of donations goes towards furthering the work of our collective members and gets equally distributed.
Thank you for your support.
