The Chase Rideout Hyde Foundation honors the life and legacy of Chase — beloved son, brother, and friend — by creating spaces where every young person feels seen, valued, and empowered. Inspired by Chase’s boundless kindness, love for the underdog, and gift for bringing people together, we invest in initiatives that celebrate connection, contribution, and community.

 

Through programs in education, athletics, service, and mentorship — including basketball tournaments, camps, scholarships, and community projects — we continue Chase’s mission to ensure that no one is left out, and everyone has the chance to play, connect, and grow.

 

The Foundation began with one stubborn question: “How do we keep Chase’s gift for making people feel noticed — alive?”

We answered by doing what he did best: gathering people, cheering for the kid at the edge of the group, and building spaces where everyone belongs.

 

We follow a three-step rhythm. Notice the kid one step outside the huddle — the person Chase would have spotted first. Gather friends, neighbors, and sponsors who care more about connection than credit. Build something lasting: an inclusive court, a scholarship, a Saturday service project the community owns.
