Morocco Volunteer Project Fundraiser

We invite you to support the transportation and material costs of the Morocco Volunteer Project.

Two Crooked Trails travelers are volunteering to travel to Morocco's Ziz Valley to showcase the community members' projects.  We’re committed to making this project successful now and in the long run. With your help, we can amplify their efforts and create a lasting impact. Crooked Trails has earmarked US$1,500 per volunteer. Both volunteers are paying for their flights and are donating their time and skills to this project.

Specifically, we are looking to raise between US $3,000 and $5,000 to help cover the transportation and materials costs during this month-long trip. Your donation will support these immediate needs and contribute to ongoing marketing, capacity building, and sustainable growth. 

Project Goals

1. Empower Tata’s Vision: The two volunteers will help Tata enhance his community tourism offerings,

from crafting immersive itineraries to developing engaging digital content. This team will assist

with designing unique experiences like local crafts workshops or traditional cooking classes that

will captivate future visitors.

2. Share the Story: Collaborating with Tata, the volunteers will showcase the vibrant community

life in the Ziz Valley and Sahara by capturing compelling content for Tata’s website and social

media—highlighting community tourism's beauty, culture, and benefits.

3. Build Lasting Partnerships: Through engaging conversations and shared experiences, we will

identify and foster partnerships that propel community tourism forward. This will support Tata's

and regional communities in connecting to key partners and ensuring sustainable growth.

4. Create Impactful Itineraries: The volunteers with Tata and other community leaders will develop short,

focused itineraries that offer authentic and enriching experiences that will highlight local

traditions, culinary experiences, crafts, and the spectacular landscapes of the Sahara.

5. Foster Collaboration: The volunteers will also aid in connecting the local women’s cooperative

with Anya in Fez, opening doors to new opportunities and collaborations that will benefit both

communities.
