This workshop and skill-share will focus on helpful practices to utilize when creating spaces for groups who gather to learn or share with one another. We will explore what it means to create participant-centered and inclusive spaces, and what practices or strategies we can utilize (or avoid!) to ensure our goals for our gathering are as successful as possible.

Alex (they/them), is a facilitator, educator, and community organizer who has over 20 years of experience creating and facilitating workshops, professional developments, and affinity spaces. With an eclectic background in nonprofit management, youth development, applied theatre, education, & healing justice, Alex brings a multi-faceted and inclusive approach to creating group spaces to learn, share, & build community.

All levels of experience are welcome. The priority of this space is to community build, skill-share, and start creating networks of support.

We believe those attending are the experts of what their needs are. If there is something you need to do to take care of yourself during this workshop, please feel free! It is not mandatory to have screen or mics on. If you feel you cannot attend the workshop for any reason, we can still send you a recording after so you don't miss out.
