Transportation Fundraiser

At Creative Steps, community integration is the cornerstone of our mission. Participation in activities and jobs that are meaningful, engaging, and promote lifelong learning is what we’re all about!

Of course, getting out into the community depends on Creative Steps having a reliable fleet of vans to take our clients everywhere they need to go. We rely on these vans for daily use, for everything from getting to job sites and all of those fantastic activities and experiences that our clients and their families depend upon.

But after so many years of reliable service and lots of miles, our older, higher-mileage vans’ maintenance costs increased significantly. Accordingly, we made the difficult decision that four vans needed to be replaced, a significant expense in 2024. As expected with the replacement of the old vehicles for new ones, our insurance costs increased as well.

On Giving Tuesday, we’re embarking on our end-of-year fundraising campaign to offset costs from this major vehicle upgrade to the Creative Steps program. Will you make a meaningful impact and donate today to help us offset the cost of transportation?

About Us

Creative Steps is a community-based day program for adults with moderate to severe developmental disabilities. Our philosophy is that everyone deserves the chance to continue to grow and learn, thereby enhancing their quality of life. We support 75 adults, and work to enrich their lives by creating opportunities for community integration and inclusion, enhanced communication skills, vocational training and job support, trips to museums and access to other cultural experiences, art and music classes and more. We work with the individuals that we support, to increase independence, self-advocacy, social and communication skills. With a variety of options for activities in the community, we encourage every individual to make choices that best suit their personal interests.
