CREATE Portage County

Cultivating Collaboration Capital Campaign

Join us as we expand the ways in which our community works, plays, and grows together and become a part of this shared legacy, a brand new hub for innovation and creativity.

In a unique opportunity for revitalization, CREATE Portage County and Central Rivers Farmshed are moving to the former convent property of the Sisters of St. Joseph of the Third Order of St. Francis which was acquired by property developer, General Capital, in March 2022. With a strong emphasis on preserving its rich history and working closely with the Sisters, General Capital developed plans to adaptively reuse the convent and chapel space, ensuring that the property would retain its historical significance and serve as a valuable asset for the community and region.

Together, we’re working to enhance the physical and social fabric of our community and create a sustainable and inclusive space that reflects the aspirations and values of our entire region. This project has the potential to become a beacon of community development, provide cultural enrichment, expand economic prosperity, and become a place for overall well-being. We hope you’ll join us on this incredible journey!
