Can you tell that we are low-income? Neither can we. We are two of 8,000 low-income children ages 2 to 5, living in San Mateo County. 70% of us will enter kindergarten 18 -24 months behind our peers. And most of us will never catch up. It isn't good for us or for our community.

Luckily, we are enrolled in Learning Home Volunteers' program. Their award-winning program is amazing. Children like us, who have graduated from the program, were kindergarten ready and are flourishing in school.
