D4J The Compassion Project - Easter 2026

Let's take a moment to think back to the days when it was a cultural norm that families took time to serve together regularly. When we knew all families on the block, and checking in on our neighbors was just part of the JOY of being in community.

Meet Rosie and Jules. They have learned an important lesson: How to LOVE our neighbors and CARE for them with Compassion.

 Jules began dancing at Dance 4 Joy in Summer 2024 following in her big sister's footsteps and joining Tap 1 at age 6. This last January she invited her friend from school, Rosie, to join her and now they tap together!

So when their school "Character Word of the Month" was Compassion, they decided to team up and show Compassion to senior citizens at D4J's outreach to Carmel Village in Fountain Valley.

Just like the wise men who brought their gifts to Jesus, Rosie and Jules brought their gifts of prayers, scriptures, dances, smiles and conversations to our seniors who are often forgotten in assisted living facilities.

Here is the WISDOM of Jesus they shared, by memory, that day:

"For the mountains may depart and the hills be removed, but my steadfast love shall not depart from you, and my covenant of peace shall not be removed, says the Lord, who has compassion on you." -Isaiah 54:10

Steadfast Love. Covenant of Peace. Compassion.

Friend, because of you, D4J dancers are sharing compassion all over Orange County every month! Your gift provides the funds for 50% of their training and ALL the costs of our evangelistic outreach.

Everything we have is the Lord's, and investing in the next generation of worshippers who are out serving in Jesus' Name is our GREATEST asset!

It is your gift that compassionately meets our youth where they are at, building bridges of sustaining support, creating disciples in artistry, and proclaiming the Gospel in Dance to those who need it most.

Jules' mom reflects, "Jules has grown so much in her confidence. She was very fearful when she first began dancing. When stage fright creeps in, we pray and we remember Bible verses, or we sing a worship song. She is learning to trust Jesus more when she is afraid."

This isn't easy, but it is real. We all experience fear every day.

Friend, you and the dancers are our Champions. Jesus is mightily growing all of us to have more confidence in Him! As Rosie and Jules have shown us, sometimes all it takes is one small, faithful step in Compassion.
