The Bloomington High School South Band program has been offering music education and performance opportunities to students for over 50 years. Students have the opportunity to perform with our concert, jazz, marching, and pep bands; as well as our percussion ensembles and other small chamber groups.  Students in the BHSS band program are kept busy with marching band in the fall, pep band in the winter, and concert and jazz bands performing throughout the academic year.

The Panther Regiment (South's marching band) is the most public and popular ensemble in the band program. Students learn the value of collaborating as a team, working hard, and accountability, along with furthering their music education. The Panther Regiment is known for playing music people enjoy, and playing with great energy!
