Leo's Happy Tale

Leo needs your help!! Leo was surrendered to us with an unusual syndrome. He would visiously attack himself and mutilate his tail. He would bite at it for different reasons that we tried to help him overcome. He was on various medications, strict diet, and significant observation. 

Thanks to our friends at Happy Tales Veterinary Hospital we were able to work on a plan to narrow down why he was doing this to himself. We believe he was suffering from neuropathy in his back, which was manifesting in his tail. Thus he would attack his tail due to pain and stress. 

We were unable to fully eradicate the problem with other means. We decided it was in his best interest to remove the tail, so he was not able to self-mutilate any longer. 

At this time, Leo is at whole different cat!! He has made a full recovery and would love to find his new family.
