A call to action from our Executive Director...
In 2024, amid the skyrocketing costs of living, Lamoille Community Food Share has remained dedicated to our Mission to improve the well-being of our neighbors experiencing food insecurity by providing supplemental food free of charge. Our pantry is bustling with activity, often with lines around the building; and we have stepped up to meet the community’s increased needs.
As we strive to do better, and actively listen to our community, we made an exciting change in our service - we opened our pantry on Tuesday evenings to help alleviate the barrier of accessing food. We also continuously strive to improve the quality of food we offer by working with local vendors and organic farms to provide the most nutritious food possible within our budget.
We are deeply thankful for and humbled by the unwavering support we've received. Year over year, we have generous donors who faithfully support us in tackling food insecurity. It is this support that fuels us to fulfill our Mission and commitment to honor the voices of those we serve across Lamoille County.
But I’m going to share a hard truth with you all…We need your help.
You might be surprised to hear in spite of our attempts at increasing awareness, we are falling far short of our financial needs.
To continue to meet the critical needs of our community and bridge the gap in our funding, we hope to raise $100,000 this giving season.
Without your financial support, we are faced with the possibility of making hard decisions in the reduction of service to our community at a time when our help is needed more than ever.
Can you help us step up to meet the community’s needs?
I empower you to stand up and make a difference by donating generously today.
In Service,
Tess Milner
