Colorado Asian Pacific United (CAPU) is a non-profit organization committed to enhancing and enriching the Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) experience in Colorado. We believe that people deserve to have their stories told. We are committed to inclusivity through community collaboration, celebration, and education.

Little Saigon is more than just a district, it’s a vibrant cultural hub, a gathering place for families, and a testament to the resilience of Denver’s Southeast and East Asian community. From family-owned restaurants to specialty shops, this area has been a cornerstone of cultural heritage and economic opportunity for decades. But today, rising costs, urban development pressures, and economic challenges are putting this cherished community at risk.

In 2024 Colorado Asian Pacific United (CAPU), partnered with History Colorado’s Museum of Memory to collect over 36 oral histories from longtime business owners, residents, and community members. Their stories make one thing clear: Little Saigon needs community support for economic revitalization and cultural preservation to remain a thriving space for generations to come. We’ve hired a team of community liaisons to directly connect with the community to learn more about their specific needs and our findings have led us to developing this campaign

✅ Enhance Community Spaces: Partnering with city officials, the Mayors office, the Asian Chamber of Commerce, and key organizations like DOTI, CPD, DEDO, and NEST to improve infrastructure, pedestrian accessibility, and public spaces that support local businesses.
