I joined the fund raising committed for Ngoma Center for Dance because I believe in what Shawn Short set out to build and has been building for over a decade. This year, for the first time, a particular, critical and substantial piece of funding Ngoma thought was guaranteed from the D.C. Government did not come through. If we can not replace these expected funds, Ngoma will cease to exist as of September this year. We are working on as many funding avenues as we can, but I need your help, here and now, to make sure this storied and unique Community Organization makes it through this tough time for us as for all in the non-profit arts space.
