Our Native American Horse Preservation and Research Program is at the heart of the work we do at Sacred Healing Circle. This program allows us to help preserve the Native American Horse and protect the traditional, historical, and scientific knowledge surrounding the horse and Indigenous Peoples in the Americas.
Alongside our program partners, Sacred Way Sanctuary, we work to achieve the following:
Sponsor and conduct genetic and other scientific research regarding the Indigenous horse of the Americas;
Preserve horses with long-standing historical ties to Indigenous Peoples throughout the Americas;
Design and secure lands and environments where the horses and People can interact in a traditional manner;
Create and manage Native American Tribal educational programs and curriculum for youth centered around the horse;
Provide venues for elder-to-youth knowledge transfer in this context;
Create alliances throughout the equine community, tribal Nations, and other educational and historical organizations to further this mission.
By becoming a sponsor of this program, you become part of the backbone of strength that helps us achieve this work on behalf of the next seven generations!
Wopila! (A big thank you),
