What is Young E.L.I.T.E. International?
Young E.L.I.T.E. International is a 501(c)(3) organization that aims to help Evolve the
Lives of young women into Total Excellence by equipping them with the personal
development, leadership, and social skills needed to live productive lives with purpose,
passion, and style. We empower young women to realize their potential and lead
productive lives now and as adults. To date, Y.E.I. has helped more than 6,000 young
ladies feel inspired and empowered to embrace their true selves.

About The Featured Dance Academy:
Dance E.L.I.T.E. Performance Academy (DEPA) is a center of creativity and high
energy. The DEPA owner and staff inspire young dancers to live more by dancing more.
Dancers of all levels are welcome to explore, create, and build self-confidence and
self-discipline. DEPA has been in the dance industry for over 10 years. Currently, over
180 dancers are a part of this dance family. DEPA is Columbus’ largest black-owned
pre-professional dance studio. DEPA has competed and performed internationally and overseas, traveling to places
like London, England, Paris, France, Toronto, Ontario, Canada and others. Samara
Tillman, the owner of DEPA, intentionally creates life-changing experiences for students
and their families.

The Ebony Nutcracker uniquely depicts the holiday classic ballet, The Nutcracker. This
production allows children of color to see themselves in this magical holiday experience.
The Ebony Nutcracker infuses the rhythms and dance styles of the African-American
culture. Attendees will be taken on an adventure with Ciara as she meets many colorful
and inspiring characters along her journey. This production is sure to evoke the joyous
spirit of the holidays and help families create memories that will last for years and years
to come.
