From One Dam to Another: The Dam to Dam Relay Race for Purpose
Greetings, dear supporters and enthusiasts,
Every year, we embark on an invigorating journey, running from the Lake Murray Dam in Lexington, SC, to the Lake Greenwood Dam in Greenwood, SC. This journey, known as the Dam to Dam Relay, stretches across a whopping 100K, taking us through the serene backcountry roads. As we divide this distance into 12 legs, our teams of 6 share the responsibility, the sweat, and most importantly, the purpose behind every step.
Our run is not just a test of endurance but a run for change. This year, we're dedicating our strides to two incredibly impactful causes: the Bethel Shelters and the F3 Fort Mill Community Scholarship.
Supporting Bethel Shelters
Bethel Shelters stands as a beacon of hope for many homeless individuals. Their day and night shelters, coupled with holistic services like case management, are life-changing for countless souls. Through our relay, we aim to elevate their mission and bring forth more hands and hearts to their noble cause.
Fueling Dreams with F3 Fort Mill Community Scholarship
Initiated in 2022, the F3 Fort Mill Community Scholarship is our ode to the young and promising minds of our community. Designed to support graduating high school seniors from Fort Mill, Nation Ford, and Catawba Ridge, this merit-based award values their academic excellence and commendable character, providing them a $1000 boost towards their higher education dreams.
The Dam to Dam Relay symbolizes our collective effort to create ripples of change. Through the picturesque landscapes and challenging terrains, we run with a shared vision - to support our community and empower its members.
We invite you to be a part of this transformative journey. Your contribution, whether in the form of donations, cheers, or spreading the word, amplifies our mission and ensures every mile we run reverberates with purpose.
Thank you for choosing to run this journey with us, in spirit and support.
Warmly,
Jeremy Holt - F3 Cornerstone
