Please join GYOPO for a movement workshop focused on deepening our community and capacity for collective mobilization. By exploring elements of Korean dance, we will connect to our ancestral memories and knowledge, and meet our bodies as the site of our histories of resistance. In navigating ongoing colonial and capitalist violence through movement, our bodies serve as a portal to harness our shared grief and resilience towards liberation.

The workshop will incorporate meditation, guided improvisation, and introductory diasporic Korean movement to deepen our connection to embodied wisdom and our capacity for collective care.

All are welcome, and no dance experience necessary! Wear comfortable clothes and socks you can move in. The workshop will be led by GYOPO program committee volunteer Hannah Joo.
