The Dancemakers Foundation is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to fostering creativity, education, and accessibility within Atlanta's dance community through supporting the efforts and mission of Dancemakers of Atlanta. Through collaborative partnerships and innovative programs, we empower dancers of all backgrounds to thrive.

In addition to supporting the mission and programs of Dancemakers of Atlanta, DMF provides further opportunities to the dedicated and talented students of Dancemakers of Atlanta as part of the Dancemakers Elite Performing Company. Dancemakers Elite (“the Company” or EPC) was developed in the spring of 2003 by the founders and directors of Dancemakers of Atlanta, Denise Latimer and Lynise Heard. As a nonprofit, the Dancemakers Foundation aims to make a difference for our community's next generation.
