Land loss is an epidemic that has plagued Black farmers and landowners. Every month, 30,000 acres of Black landownership is lost primarily due to non-payment of property tax, eminent domain, unprofitable business models, discrimination, generational out-migration, and lack of estate planning.
F.A.R.M.S. is a national nonprofit dedicated to reversing small farm land loss to ensure generational wealth and reducing hunger in rural low-income communities. They also assist farmers with retail market expansion to ensure future farm revenue.
ROAR was founded by New York hospitality professionals to support restaurant workers suffering from financial hardship, rescue small businesses from the devastating effects of COVID-19, and enact a sustainable future for the hospitality industry in New York. Working on policy and advocacy work with city and state government officials, alongside key fundraising efforts, ROAR is fundamentally working to give restaurants in our state a fighting chance.
You will cook alongside both chefs in real-time during this intimate 1 hour cooking class. You will be able to interact with them directly, ask them questions and get them to give feedback on your cooking. All in the comfort of your own home!
The price of each ticket includes the price of the class for your family, an ingredient box that feeds four, full beverage pairing, delivery costs and taxes.
