Hello! My name is Daniela Anello, Head of School at DC Bilingual.

This month is extra special for me—I’m celebrating my 40th birthday! On this milestone birthday, I’m taking time to reflect on what I value in my life, how I’ve changed, and what brings me joy.

For the past 13 years, DC Bilingual has been the jewel of my professional life. I started at DC Bilingual when I was just 27 years old, before I had my own children. DC Bilingual was honestly my first child! I put so much of my heart and soul into working with my team to build an amazing school for our students. Then, of course, my children Maxwell & Violet were born and DC Bilingual became their second home—a safe, loving community where they could learn and grow alongside their peers.

At DC Bilingual, children are loved unconditionally everyday by our incredible teachers and staff. They grow up learning Spanish and being proud to be bilingual; their creativity is celebrated through dance, music, and art; and they become talented scientists and mathematicians who excel in competitions at the school, in the District, and even nationally! Our students inspire me daily - they are funny, creative, vibrant and each one is so unique and special.
