Mr. Seneca Barron is a native and a 1997 Lake City High School graduate.
He is married to Mrs. Candice Barron and has two children, Trey and
Jaylon Barron. He is a member of Mt. Clair Missionary Baptist Church,
where he teaches Sunday school. Mr. Barron is employed with Florence
School District 3 and serves as an Administrative Assistant/Behavior
Interventionist. During his tenure in the district, Mr. Barron has coached
Football and track. He is also the Head Basketball coach for Lake City's
Varsity Boys Basketball team. He has coached for over 25 years.
Mr. Barron is the Gentlemen’s Club Sponsor for Lake City Early College
High School. Under Coach Barron leadership the gentlemen’s club has
participated in several events and has helped clean out several rooms in
the high school, as well as read many books to all of the students in the
district.
Coach Barron is the founder of the Big South Athletic Conference, that
currently our middle school teams are members of along with nine other
middle schools in the pee dee area. Coach Barron is also the founder of
the Darrin “BO BO” Simmons Basketball Fundraiser Tournament, which is
in memory of his father and his passion for sports. Coach Barron has a
very strong passion for working with our students. He believes that all
students have the ability to be successful. Coach Barron goes above and
beyond for all students.
Coach Barron has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Physical
Education Sports Management. A Master of Education in Administration
and Supervision and currently he has a FCD certification from Midlands
Technical College.
