Lent Almsgiving Project 2024

The Dowling Catholic High School People to People Club, in support of the Lenten Pillar of almsgiving, is offering  an opportunity to provide meals to hungry families in our local and national communities. Last year, Meals from the Heartland fed 839,000 food-insecure Iowan families and nearly 2 million nationwide.

Matthew 14:13-21 is our inspiration for this year. Just as Jesus took a few loaves and fish and was able to feed the hungry crowd, we hope to use our alms to feed those in need of a warm meal in our community. We can reach our goal of feeding 50,000 with a total donation of $7500 - or about $5.50 per student at DCHS.
