The Wharf is bringing the luck of the Irish to the waterfront with a free Ireland at The Wharf festival!

Supporting a Worthy Cause: This celebration is a "Party With A Purpose!" Through a variety of activities on-site and online giving campaigns throughout the day, the Washington Area Fuel Fund (WAFF) will be raising the funds and the "friends" we need to support families in need of help with their energy bill—no matter the fuel source.

How You Can Get Involved:

Join the Festival. Bring your family and friends to The DC Wharf to enjoy all the fun of a true Irish festival with music, dance, rugby, and Irish-themed food and beverages.
Donate to WAFF Online. Make a direct contribution to the Washington Area Fuel Fund. Your donation will go a long way in helping our neighbors in need. Look for our online Ireland at The Wharf campaigns released from our social media platforms on March 16, from 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm. There willl be special prizes and donor recognition opportuniities on our social media platforms, including Facebook, X (formerly known as Twitter), Instagram, and YouTube.
Visit Camp WAFF: Each year, Camp Wharf at the Firepit is transformed into Camp WAFF! Through this initiative, proceeds from the purchase of hot chocolate, s'mores and other delectables at the firepit are donated to WAFF.

The Ireland at The Wharf Festival promises to be an unforgettable experience filled with joy, laughter, and a sense of community. Join in the festivities, celebrate the rich tradition of St. Patrick's Day, and make a positive impact by supporting the Washington Area Fuel Fund.

More About the Washington Area Fuel Fund: Through a charitable partnership with The Salvation Army, WAFF helps individuals and families in need pay their energy bills. Since 1983, WAFF has distributed nearly $33 million to help more than 300,000 households across D.C., Maryland, and Virginia pay their energy bills during times of hardship—no matter the fuel source, e.g., natural gas, propane gas, electricity, oil, coal, wood, kerosene, etc. WAFF supports energy solutions that make life go! Cooking, bathing, heating a home, and washing clothes are all necessities that require fuel. A small donation can help a family propel their lives forward.
