💔🥒 This little girl really found herself in a pickle… 🥒💔

A few days ago, we received an urgent call from Penn Vet asking if we could help a 3.5 month old puppy who had been abandoned by her owner. She was suffering from a lateral condylar humerus fracture and would require orthopedic surgery to repair her broken leg.

To be honest, we hesitated. The past few months have been some of the most expensive in our rescue’s history. Between multiple major medical cases, several airway surgeries, and Glinda’s lifesaving liver shunt surgery, our medical expenses have been astronomical. 💔

Penn Vet told us they had reached out to several other rescues, but no one was able to help. We simply couldn’t imagine this sweet puppy continuing to suffer because there wasn’t a rescue willing or able to say yes. So… we did. 💜🐾

Thankfully, one of our incredible supporters stepped up with a generous donation toward her medical care, helping to reduce the cost of her surgery. As a thank you, we let them choose her name… and they picked the perfect one: Dill Pickle—or Dilly for short. 🥹🥒💜 We think it’s fitting because this sweet little girl truly found herself in quite the pickle.

While we’re so grateful for that generous gift, we still have a long way to go to cover Dilly’s medical expenses. We desperately need your help replenishing our funds so we can continue saying “yes” when dogs like Dilly need us most.

Every donation, no matter the amount, makes a difference. If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this post so Dilly’s story reaches more people. 💜
