This is your official invitation to the LGBT+ Center’s 12th Annual Diversity Awards! This year marks the 12th anniversary of The Center presenting awards to the central Florida community and we’re always excited to honor local champions, trailblazers and impact makers, especially in a time that feels like our rights are being challenged every day. The event includes a delicious plated lunch, a rainbow juice bar during cocktail hour and an engaging program where we’ll acknowledge and celebrate individuals and businesses that exemplify leadership in diversity and inclusion. The Center will also award our 2024 student scholarship recipients. Our 2024 Diversity Award Honorees are: • LGBT+ Ally – Congressman Maxwell Frost, U.S. Representative for Florida’s 10th Congressional district • Trailblazer - Admiral Rachel L. Levine, MD, 17th Assistant Secretary for Health for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services • Trailblazer - Brandon Wolf, National Press Secretary for the Human Rights Campaign • Champion of Equality – Orange County Government • LGBT+ Center Lifetime Achievement – Michael Slaymaker, Chief Executive Officer at Orlando Youth Alliance • Emerging Leader – La Jon Dantzler, Individual Giving Manager at The LGBT+ Center Orlando • Non-Profit Partner – Zebra Youth • Small Business Partner – Watermark Publishing Group • Corporate Partner – Universal Studios Florida This event features a new location from year’s past, The Diversity Award will take place on Friday, July 26th at the Sheraton Orlando Lake Buena Vista!
