Iota Phi Theta Fraternity Inc. is an International Fraternity that was founded September 19, 1963 at Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland for the development and perpetuation of Scholarship, Leadership, Citizenship, Fidelity, and Brotherhood among Men. 

There are over 300 chapters worldwide with over 70,000 initiated members. A few of Iota Phi Theta’s national service initiatives including our partnerships with the American Red Cross, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Ora Lee Smith Cancer Research Foundation, and our newest most comprehensive initiative I-S.H.I.E.L.D. which stands for "IOTAS Saving, Healing, Improving, Empowering Lives Daily". We have 5 focus areas that address Human Trafficking, Sexual Abuse, Domestic Abuse, Elder Abuse and Child Abuse/Bullying. National Affiliations include The National Interfraternity Conference (NIC) & The National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC).
