Since 1983, Dollar Energy Fund has been serving the limited-income community by providing utility assistance grants to families and individuals in need. The organization has grown to become one of the largest hardship funds in the country. 

We partner with utility companies across the United States to provide assistance grants and other programs to help utility customers maintain basic gas, water, wastewater and electric services. Many who receive a grant from our program have nowhere else to turn because they are not eligible from federal, state or other assistance programs.

Dollar Energy Fund also partners with hundreds of community-based organizations throughout our service territory. Through connecting utility customers with community-based agencies for application intake, they are introduced to additional resources that may benefit their households, such as food,  childcare, and more.
