Everyone deserves access to books, stories, and a literacy-rich community. Every child deserves to discover the joy of reading, writing, and storytelling regardless of zip code. Every community deserves third spaces that help bring people together to engage in discourse.

Park Literacy Project grew out of an intense need to engage readers of all ages. Together with our partner school systems, libraries, bookstores and other local organizations across Maryland, we will engage readers with author events, book giveaways, and other literacy-rich programming.

We work with Title 1 schools, libraries, other area nonprofits, and senior centers throughout Maryland.

Though we actively pursue and receive grants, your donation helps us fill in where they fail us and continue to sustain and grow our outreach.
