The Hunter Foundation Inc. was founded in 1997 with a mission to build and expand our tax base through empowering innovative businesses to come to life on the mountaintop. Dedicated to improving the quality of life on the mountain top through economic development, the Hunter Foundation couples private philanthropy with significant grant funding to benefit many aspects of the mountain top community over the last 23 years.

We have played a key role in rehabilitating over 100 homes and 35 businesses, not just in Tannersville and Hunter but in surrounding, Ashland, Jewett, Lexington, Prattsville and Windham. The Hunter Foundation is responsible for over 12 million dollars put into the community to promote economic development and tourism in our region. Jobs have been provided, local contractors used and we have helped to create thriving businesses.
