Your gift supports The Antara Foundation’s work to end preventable maternal and child deaths and malnutrition in rural India.

In rural India, too many mothers and babies are lost to health problems that are preventable. Care exists, but it often doesn’t reach the women and children who need it most. Families in remote villages are far from clinics, and frontline health workers are stretched thin with too few resources.

Antara International supports The Antara Foundation (TAF), which works hand in hand with government health workers and communities to close that gap. TAF uses data, training, and technology to help identify high-risk pregnancies early, strengthen the skills of frontline workers, and give women the knowledge to care for their own health and their children’s.

The results are real. TAF’s work has reached 57,000 remote villages across 33 districts, touching the lives of more than 9 million women and children and supporting 140,000 frontline workers and supervisors. In one district, high-risk pregnancy identification rose 3.2 times, and the share of pregnant women receiving four antenatal checkups rose 1.7 times.

Your gift helps sustain this work and carry it to more communities. Every donation, at any size, helps a mother get the care she needs and gives her child a healthier start.
