Centro San Bonifacio is a non-profit tax-exempt 501c3 immigrant-run and community-directed organization, with a strong commitment to involving the clients and participants in leadership, governance, and implementation. We are operated by community health workers (CHWs) trained up from the community we serve: low-income, Spanish-speaking, immigrant families.

Everything starts with our Community Health Workers! Drawing on the internationally recognized "Community Health Worker" model within the framework of global health equity, our health promoters' natural integration gives them a unique ability to respond to the concerns of the newest immigrants. This people-to-people approach is fundamental as the very same people who receive services in turn promote self-reliance and raise their level of physical, mental, spiritual, and social health. They are empowered by enriching their own lives while at the same time reaching out and improving the lives of others.
