At Haywood Pathways Center, a meal is never just a meal.

Every day, people experiencing homelessness come through our doors looking for safety, stability, and dignity. Pathways provides shelter and support for people working to rebuild their lives, and food is often where healing begins.

Meals bring people together. Around the table, guests, staff, and volunteers share conversation, laughter, and moments of connection that remind everyone they belong to a caring community.

That spirit of connection extends beyond our walls through Holy Cow, Haywood Pathways Center’s community outreach food truck. When Holy Cow rolls out, it creates opportunities for people to gather, share food, and build relationships across our community. What might seem like a simple meal often becomes a moment of belonging, conversation, and healing.

But right now, something essential is at risk.

Our refrigeration system needs urgent repairs. Without reliable cooling, we cannot safely store the donated food that sustains our shelter and supports outreach efforts like Holy Cow. When refrigeration fails, food spoils, resources are lost, and the meals people depend on become uncertain.
